CREATE, INNOVATE, UNDERTAKE

TEXLAB stands for a series of creation projects for which artists work with the museum collection and/or the museum story and in which the knowledge and the craftsmanship of family companies in the region play the leading roles. The first two projects are the collaboration between Wim Opbrouck and Verilin on the other hand and between Christien Meindertsma and Jos Vanneste on the other.

The result is a story of old techniques, a high-tech production which is always linked to the collection or the museum story of TEXTURE. Of both projects two films were made directed by Bram Crols and Jan Lapeire (Associate Directors), who emphasize the admiration and amazement seen in these collaborations. In addition to the artistic skills of the artist, they also show the craftsmanship of the creators.
